Alex opened the salon in 1996 and has grown the business into a brand that is well known throughout the community. Our team of award winning stylists are here to provide you with hair that works for you and your lifestyle.

The salon is made up of a dynamic group of master colourists and skilled stylists. As a team we work together sharing our levels of experience to stay on top of the latest trends, and developing our skills through continuing education.

Our Team

**Alex (owner)**
Alex grew up in the industry with his mother being a hairstylist. He had no desire to be a stylist until one day his mother gave him a pair of scissors and said: "Cut your father's hair." The rest was history, and in October 1996, mother and son opened their hair salon in Newmarket and it has served thousands of clients ever since. Alex's staff have won numerous industry awards in hair competitions, and he's always looking for ways to innovate, whether it's new techniques, products, or frequent design makeover's of the salon space to provide a trendy and enjoyable experience for clients. Alex continues to draw inspiration from family, friends, his staff, and the clients he serves.

**Tanis**
Tanis has been a part of the team since 2005. Her knowledge of colour and experience in cutting are put to great use on every client. With the help of her teammates, she has been successful in many competitions. Her years of education and passion for hair and people will be sure to leave a mark on you.

**Tara**
Tara joined the Alexsandro’s team in 2013. With a background in design, she incorporates that knowledge and experience in the looks she creates for her clients. She loves being a part of this wonderful dynamic team and is always up for a good laugh.

**Yana**
Yana has been on the Alexsandros team since 2016 but comes with years of knowledgeable experience and skill. She is a passion-driven stylist who strives to fill her chair with happy clients!

**Kyra**
Kyra joined Alexsandros in 2017 after being a client of the salon. She is passionate about all-things-hair. With her fresh outlook on trends, she is excited to continue working behind the chair and creating meaningful connections with her clients.

**Kay**
Kay’s been a client since she was a child and officially joined Alexsandros team in 2021. She’s an up and coming stylist specializing in curly hair services and is excited to keep learning with the team!

Achievements

As a team we are always looking for ways to get involved in our community, and industry. Our greatest achievements are being a part of many fundraisers including ones with the foundations listed below. We also take great pride in the awards we have worked hard on earning through competitions with our fellow stylists in Canada.
